Order & Discipline
At Re-Creation Retreat we give the highest priority to the maintenance of order and discipline.
Re-Creation Retreat is a Staff Secured Facility where student activities are monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Upon arrival, each student is fully instructed by our staff on program rules and expectations, as well as consequences for violations.

Consequences for rule violations or poor behavior range from loss of privileges to filing of formal charges for violations of State Laws.
In cases involving adverse physical behavior Re-Creation Retreat utilizes the techniques of "Therapeutic Crisis Intervention" which involves immediate staff intervention combined with direct staff/student interaction. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention utilizes a process that de-escalates the student's adverse emotional and physical outburst and teaches the student techniques for controlling repeated occurrences. Physical restraint is utilized in cases where the resident poses a threat to themselves or others.
