Most of the available information regarding dating abuse focuses on education and prevention of abusive relationships. However, if your daughter is already in an abusive relationship, she may find if very difficult, even impossible to get out of. As a parent you may have found yourself somewhat powerless in trying to end your daughters relationship. Unfortunately our social and legal systems are not very supportive of parents or victims of dating abuse and many times do additional harm by re-victimizing the victim.
